Self-love is about focusing on yourself and working to become a better version of YOU. Here are some ideas on how to show yourself some love this February and throughout the year.
Complete that project or goal you started. You might have just started to fall short of your New Year’s goals, or maybe you have a project you started but never finished? Excuses are our enemies!! Go ahead and find some time (even 10 min of your day) to put towards finishing this goal or project. Remind yourself that this is something for you, and it will make you feel better about yourself. Keeping commitments to yourself should be a priority.
Wear red lipstick and heels just because it’s a Tuesday. Get dressed up! How often do you get dressed nice, just because you felt like it? Regardless of if you are staying at home all day, or going to be in front of a lot of people that day. Dress in something nice that is comfortable – just because. Maybe even check yourself out in the mirror and say some affirmations – just because you can.
Start the day with two minutes of meditation. Meditating before the day helps to bring clarity to your mind and reevaluate your intentions and purposes for the day. Meditation helps to focus on yourself internally. Allowing your stresses to leave and letting the calm in after we turn off that alarm clock. Get yourself and your day started on the right foot with two minutes of meditation daily.
