Summer Skin Trends

It is finally summer and time to kick back and relax by the pool. With more exposure to UVA/UVB rays we lather on that sunscreen, then we end up with skin-clogged pores from too much product. What are we to do? Here are some helpful tips and trends for this summer.

Wash Your Face – Cleansing your already dehydrated face daily (or even twice daily) can cause some harm. Check to see if your cleanser can tackle anything from dirt, oil and makeup without harsh ingredients. Be sure your cleanser is gentle and doesn’t require intense scrubbing.

Toner with Vitamin C – After cleansing your skin, an effective toner with vitamin C can help brighten the skin. We all want that dewy luminous glowing skin and toners are the way to go. Find the best toner for your skin type and fall in love with your skin.

The Complexion Kit – Using an exfoliator to remove dead skin cells and winter blues helps to brighten and enhance your lovely skin. The dry face and neck masks help to hydrate and lock in moisture to give you a gorgeous glow. The masks are designed to be reused up to 5 times. No mess! Just incredible results.

Under eye moisture stick – If you are prone to dry skin, dark circles and puffiness- have no fear. A great under eye moisture stick with caffeine can help! They are perfect for at-home and on-the-go.

SPF setting spray – If sunscreen under your makeup doesn’t work the way you wish it would, find a SPF setting spray that goes over your finished look. Usually in summer makeup is applied much lighter, and this option will help keep it in place.

Retinol – Your retinol from winter can be a bit harsh on your summer skin. Be sure to always wear sunscreen daily and reapply when needed!

Moisturizer – Every day in the summer, moisturizer should be applied regardless of what you did that day. Thicker moisturizers help lock in moisture but also can initiate breakouts. Find one that’s the best of both worlds – moisturizing and light.
